Contract signed!

Well, it has been 8 long months of planning, reviewing, changing, re-planning, re-reviewing and re-changing, all of which have come with their ups and downs along the way... and I have to say that the entire team, drafting, admin & others at Carter Grange, have been more than patient, understanding and accommodating to all our queries, changes, requests... and the Contract was finally signed today!... might keep the Veuve on ice until after the slab is poured and we can see more 'concrete' evidence that it's all happening ☺

Colours & Tiles - decisions, decisions...

Our Colours & Electrical appointment was on 27 Nov'14 and our Tiles appointment was on 5 Mar'15. Both were intensive, long and tiring days with so many decisions to be made, but Maddie (the Design Team Leader at Byron Interiors) and Amy (the Carter Grange Consultant at National Tiles) were both fantastic, most helpful and very patient! :) ... no need to say we've made a few changes since then but got there in the end, so thought I'd share some of our selections...

Exterior - Main render: 'Dieskau' (bottom of pic 1), Front projection render: 'Monument', Garage door & gutters: 'Monument', Fascia & downpipes: 'Surfmist', and black aluminium windows & doors - Roof: 'Horizon' cement tiles in 'Sambuca' (pic 2) - Front door: Deco 2S (pic 3 but not pivot) in 'Golden Passionfruit' [*pic 4: inspiration]

Flooring - Ground/main floor (including Kitchen/Pantry): engineered European oak in 'Washed Khaki' (natural finish), Theatre/Study/First Floor: 'Downy Fluff' carpet (cat 3), Wet areas: 'Simplicity Dark Grey' ceramic tile (standard) [*the 'Brushed Nickel' is for the Master BIR]

Kitchen - Bench top: Silestone 40mm pencil round edge in 'Lagoon' (cat 4) with 16mm black shadowline, Base cabinets: 2pak semi gloss in 'Lexicon Quarter' (to match wall colour), Splashback: glass (starphire upgrade) in black, Overhead cabinets: 'Alaskan' in nuance (textured) finish, and fridge/wall/tower cabinets: black laminate in natural (matt) finish [*pic 2: truer light grey (not beige) colour of Silestone Lagoon]

Powder Room - Bench top/front drop: Silestone 'Lagoon', Splashback: 'Jewels Preto' porcelain tile, Drop panel: black laminate natural finish

Master Ensuite - Bench top: Silestone 20mm in 'Blanco Zeus' (cat 3) with 16mm black shadowline, Cabinets: 'Alaskan' nuance finish, Walls: 'Teakwood Light Grey' porcelain tile, Floor: 'Simplicity Dark Grey' ceramic tile, Tapware: matt black

Pantry/Laundry/Bathroom/Powder2 - Bench top: Silestone 20mm in 'Blanco Zeus' with 16mm black shadowline, Cabinets: 'Alaskan' nuance finish (except Laundry & Powder 2 natural finish), Floor: 'Simplicity Dark Grey' ceramic tile [*Splashback & wall tiles (not pictured): matt white rectified edge]

Stairs - Carter Grange standard semi-cantilevered stairs (pic 1) with glass balustrade (upgrade) and round stainless steel posts & handrail (pic 2) [*stain/colour to be determined on site, but we'll probably match the floors natural colour]
